Chemical Peel Care
Pre Appointment:
Avoid using glycolic acid, lactic acid, salicylic acid, retinol, tretinoin, Differin, waxing, tweezing, exfoliants, scrubs, injections at least a week prior to your chemical peel.
If you have an active cold sore, eczema, or open sores on face you must wait until fully healed.
Do not suntan or use tanning beds for 2 weeks prior to a chemical peel.
Post Appointment:
Avoid excessive touching of the skin and makeup for at least 48 hours after peel.
Avoid physical activity, saunas, hot tubs, swimming, hot yoga, steam for first 48 hours.
Use an SPF 30+ daily after a chemical peel, for at least 4 weeks after peel. Rain or shine, indoors or outdoors.
Do not exfoliate after a chemical peel for 2 weeks after peel.
Do not use products with retinol, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, or lactic acid for 2 weeks after the peel.
Avoid products with vitamin C for five days after.
Do not pick or pull at flaking skin, it will fall off on its own.
Use a gentle cleansing product with cool water, do not scrub face.
Keep skin moisturized.
Book custom facial 4 weeks after the peel.
